The Redwood Saddle Blanket Pin
This listing is for a ONE OF A KIND pin, an ode to the nature of my home... the Redwoods.
A small circular "Redwood Stone", containing Redwood bark and usnea set under glass, in a stamped scalloped bezel, is set upon a sterling silver diamond shaped pendant. Decorated by hand stamped borders and flourishes. It was then given a patina to bring out those details, and to give the piece an antiqued look. Then given a lavender oil and wax coating to keep the patina in place and satisfy the senses.
I made these two Redwood pins because of the intense peace I feel being back amongst the coastal Redwood giants. They are, for lack of a better explanation, completely grounding. I hope these pins can bring the wearer the sensations I feel being back home.
Details
This pin measures 2" wide, and 1" tall.
It comes with a double post pin back setting, with pull lock pin backs for extra security, to insure you will never lose your new heirloom handmade pin <3

As a side note, due to the natural and delicate nature of the bark and lichen it is not recommended to wear this pin underwater/give it access to prolonged wear in moisture. The setting will come to you air tight, however over time with constant wear stones on all pieces may shift, and it is always wise to not press ones luck and allow delicate and treasured pieces to receive only minimal time in the elements.
