Y'all this bolo. OOF. I was torn between making a traditional bolo, or my chain/rattle bolo, and born from it was this conversion of the two. One where the bolo tips might just be the star of the show?! But the ever so dark burnt gold stones really do make this perfect from top to bottom.
 
The Bolo pendant contains two Pyrite stones, both giving golden shimmer to their charred wood feel. The large central stone, a really dark piece of Pyrite with a wash of gold, below it a more solid gold round stone.  A hand made sterling silver braid frame cradles the piece. Capped with two hand made ball details, and the bottom edge in beaded wire. Hand formed and stamped bolo fixture, as well as my raised makers mark, on this reverse.
 
But that's hardly all. At the end of the black leather bolo cord are two HAND MADE bolo tips. I have crafted each serrated tube at the end, stamping patterns around them, and building a platform, hanging from them, inidvidually hand made solid silver rattlesnake rattles. The movement on these is spellbinding.
 
This bolo is fire. And ready to burn it down this fall.
