This listing is for a MADE TO ORDER etched pendant of a coral snake. It came from an old page of a Red Cross First Aid book - with illustrations of poisonous snakes, Courtesy of the Wild Life Div, Dept. of Interior, that I have had hanging on my wall for at least a decade now.
I have acid etched this very detailed illustration, hand cut and filled the pendant, and then given it a patina for contrast and aging.
All etchings have been given a wax coating, with lavender oil, to help keep their patina in place.

This piece has been given a patina for contrast, but as this piece is worn, it will grow with you. Your oils and the environment you subject it too will give it is own natural, ever changing patina. It will become an extension of you as it travels with you on your path.

A. Sturdy copper chain
B. Black sueded leather cord
C. Dark Brown sueded leather cord
Please let me know what length you would like (in inches, or where you would like it to fall and I will gauge as best as I can). All can be closed off with a copper lobster clasp or left continuous for easy over the head wear.
If you already have a favorite cord, the necklace can be sent as just the pendant.
The pendant measures roughly 3 3/4" across and 3/4" tall.

Because this piece is made to order, please allow up to 6 weeks for delivery. I strive to get custom order finished within a week, but if I need to order more metals, it may take as long as 6 weeks as it will be out of my control - I will let you know what I estimate, and if it is time sensitive feel free to ask ahead of time!
