The Morning Glory Ring (OOAK)

This ring is my tribute to the "Morning Glory". 

As soon as spring starts taking over here in the South, Morning Glory, as well as Cats Claw, flowers and vines are right there running alongside the heat. By now, as summer takes over, every surface is already covered. These vines may be a sign of destruction, but  seeing their brightly colored flowers taking over every inch of climbable space makes me feel at home. 

Made of all sterling silver, hand cut and textured Morning Glory leaves and flower climb up alongside the beautiful blue flash from this incredible piece of labradorite. The flash of this stone represents the excitement I feel when the vibrant purple morning glories start opening up in the yard and catch my attention even from inside the house. A light layer of patina has been added to heighten the contrast of this piece, it was given a cypress oil and wax coating to help keep it in place and to satisfy the senses of smells from the swamp.
